We are Doctors of Physical Therapy, licensed as physical therapists. While we often incorporate some massage techniques into our practice, our interventions depend on the individual client and their goals. We perform an examination and work with you to establish individual goals. Often times our interventions will include a combination of manual/hands on work with specific exercises to help improve your function.
If you are looking for massage only, we are probably not a good fit for you and we recommend you seek the expertise of a licensed massage therapist. We have some massage therapists in the area we recommend and are happy to pass on their information.
We do NOT perform acupuncture. We are specially trained to perform dry needling. Dry needling does use a needle similar to an acupuncture needle; however, the technique and purpose is very different. Dry needling involves placing a small needle into the muscle at the trigger point in order to cause the muscle to contract and then release.
Simple answer is "No". The state of Colorado is an open access state for physical therapy, meaning you are welcome to seek care without a physician referral or script for physical therapy. However, certain insurances/payers may require a physician to sign off on a physical therapy plan of care. We do recommend you have a primary care physician for your general health; however, it is not required to get physical therapy.
Yes, however, we are still working on becoming in-network with various payors. If your plan is out of network, depending on your out-of-network benefits, we can still accept it/bill your insurance. We always do our best to be transparent about the costs to you; however, it is ALWAYS best to talk to your insurance company directly to verify. For out of network plans, while we try to get the most accurate information from your plan, we do not always know what the final cost will be to you until the claims are processed. Please also see the payment and billing section above.
Our policy is that we do not allow children under the age of 10 to attend sessions of their adult guardian unless directly supervised by another adult due to liability, safety, and quality of care for our patients. While we truly want to promote easy and affordable access to health care, we must enforce this policy for the safety of minors, integrity of our equipment, safety and quality of care for our patients, safety and productive work environment for our team, and to protect our company. We do not have the capacity to supervise children at our facility and our equipment can be dangerous if not used properly under supervision. Children under the age of 10 are welcome as patients/clients with guardian consent.
